Bloom timing

Hi all,

Got my first plumeria back in March, and since then... Well, now I have three more :) my question is about blooming. I'm in south Florida, and my original plant gave me a few blooms about two months after I planted it. Then all summer, nothing. The leaves are starting to look pretty shabby, and I was expecting the plants to go dormant soon. Then about two weeks ago an inflorescence appeared. Since then, I've gotten two more, and tons of much larger flowers. Is this a normal growth pattern (spring then late summer flowers) or is this because my plants just went into the ground this year? This plant was originally, at the nursery, in a huge pot (20 gal maybe? 40 gal?) and consisted of two dormant plants. Might have been huge cuttings. What should I expect next year?

Thanks in advance!
