Hi there! thinking about planting a creeping fig vine (ficus pumila) to cover our cinder block wall. we live in Phoenix Arizona. My concern is about the roots and our in ground pool being within 4 feet of where I want to plant it. are the roots harmful to the concrete pool walls? could they ever cause our pool to leak or crack. I remember when the put the pool in that the concrete was pretty thick and reinforced with rebar. I was thinking about planting it in a large pot and allowing it to grow up the wall as well. any advice would be great. I love the plant but have heard such horror stories... thanks so much!
