What is involved?

Usually you send your pal a small gift on their birthday, a card at various holidays and thoughtful sorts of remembrances. You aren't to spend much, just be thinking of them. It's secret all year long and revealed in December.

A group can set their own rules really. What one group does is not necessarily right for another. I just wanted to throw that idea out there. We did it here years ago and I still have a wallhanging up that she made. We also did a pincushion swap in secret pal fashion long ago. Others might remember more.

That is what I thought it might be. Sounds interesting.

I did this in a gardening group once, it was fun. I would be interested.

We had a questionnaire that everyone filled out so that we would know a little more about them.

My concern is that a Canadian postmark and stamps would be a dead giveaway for me unless Wendy and/or Geraldine also join. Or any other Canadians. Come on ladies!

We had a Canadian in the last one and she had a conspirator. She sent it to one person who changed out the envelope and mailed it on from the US. It can be done.

I would be interested in this type of secret swap.

I'd like to do this too. I did one about five years ago through another site. It was a huge group and quite a few got carried away on what they sent and also large number of drop outs. It needed better defined rules. My experience was good though. I will likely look for a conspirator or two because my online name might be a give away.
