Planting Propagated Hydrangea ?

Hello Everyone,

I thought I had asked this question before, but I can't seem to find my post or the answers. Each year I propagate Hydrangea clippings in pots and usually plant them in the ground around now. I'm curious to get some more experienced opinions on when the best time to actually transfer these pots to the ground? They are mainly mop head Hydrangea ... There might be a couple of flat top too. I'm on Long Island (Zone 7). Thanks in advance !
