Yes, I would use glass mosaic tiles. Something with brown undertones.

Hi there! I love glass tile but would consider a material in a matte finish to balance the polished black granite. I would also consider using tile in a color that is out of the yellow tones - for a visual break. One option for a classic look with the black granite would be a white subway tile with a matte finish (note how great the white pot that you have on top of the cabinets looks with the maple). Another option would be to use a large format limestone-looking ceramic tile (which would clean up better than an actual limestone behind the range) such as Ann Sacks Cappadocia in either the parchment or the linen colors. Either would be classy and beautiful! Good luck!

I would also change the hardware on your cabinets. It's a little small, even the handles..be more bold I would do a larger, all handles in a black iron.

You might also consider back painted-glass as the backsplash. I would avoid a matte finish glass tile in the kitchen as it is more difficult to clean.
