Bowiea is growing beautifully this year but when dormant, the bulbs seem squishy. Hard to be sure, but being a 'little softer' may be ok. If you are patient, you may be rewarded. Yale

What a plant, right? I discovered it in a specialist nursery the other day and HAD to bring it back. Repotted now into 8mm round pot and a week later watered slightly around the bulb careful to avoid it. As the OP was experiencing, I noticed now, 2 days later, the vine is yellowing slightly and at the tip. Hope all will be well. Some of my bulbs have survived but not their labels. This photo has answered the great "what is it" question. But I to found the dormant bulb went a bit soft.
