kitchen tile opinions please!!!

Here's my kitchen with the newly painted oak cabinetry and my new counters. Please help with the tile!!! I brought home a couple of samples. I am undecided on whether to do a glass or ceramic...

I would like a mosaic square frame over the cooktop with maybe the tile laid in a herringbone or something a little different there.

Because your granite has so much variation (gorgeous granite), I would stick with a solid color for a backsplash, see some pictures below. Good Luck!

I would go classic white subway tiles with dark grey grout. Could arrange in herringbone pattern above stove if you want. That granite is gorgeous

Stay with a simple subway tile in a matte finish with light gray grout laid tightly together. Add the square of the same tiles laid in a chevron pattern outlined with a pencil trim above the stove. Be sure to install under cabinet LED lighting on a dimmer. Your kitchen will be a stunning place to enjoy cooking & spending time with loved ones. Do not go with a mosaic of different colors. It will take away from your lovely island counter.

yes, all around stay simple i would not do a inlay over the stove either.

I've got a white herringbone on mesh I'm putting over my stove. It's got some texture to it also. Don't have it up yet...

Is the surface flat & smooth? You will want that type of surface above the stove for cleaning boilovers & splattering.
