Greetings! We will be building a new home starting next spring and we are looking at premium vinyl windows for this project. I think we will have it down to Okna or Soft-Lite options for the 3pane casement/picture windows. My question is about the J-Channel on each of these brands. The wife would like as wide of a profile as possible for the aesthetics on the window frame and I cannot find any details on their websites about the width of the integrated J Channel option for new construction windows. Secondly, and more importantly, we are going to be using Novik Shake composite siding (stainatural line which looks amazing) and it requires a minimum of 1" clearance for the J-Channel. Does anyone have insights into the width of the integrated J channel and the clearance for Okna or Soft-Lite? Thanks in advance!
