Sammy, I'm sorry you're experiencing the anxiety of the quake. I know all too well. The reports I read state it was brief and that is a GOOD thing because 4.4 is serious. We had one like that last year with similar intensity, or perhaps we were on top of the epi. I forget, but it lasted about 4 seconds. I recall being grateful it didn't last longer or we would have lost the house.

Did you have the aftershock, yet?

I have not felt an earthquake here in SW OKC for several years, pre tornado. But I know how scary they are. Sorry you guys have to deal with them.

I felt it here in NW OKC, it was a big one, no mistaking. It rattled stuff for a bit and vibrated for some time after. I figured it was closer than Broken Arrow. Stockergal, you would have felt this one, you were just asleep.

well, we just got hit again a few times. Original call was 4.5. Whole state is rocking, today.

I did not feel this one. It was a bad night for sleeping, so I would have felt it. If it did get this far south, I was in worse shape than I thought. Ha

I didn't feel the one overnight. I did feel a little one at work today. I heard a noise, it's hard to describe, kinda like a little blast of wind hitting the building, but I've learned that is the precursor sound. I sat still, waiting for the earthquake. I didn't feel it for a couple of seconds and I almost started laughing at myself, and then I felt the tiniest of movements and my metal blinds hit the metal window frames...and then I was sure!
