Help! What goes here?

I feel like I've got a lot of open space that I could occupy above my TV...should I leave it be, or should something occupy this space. Help!

FILL IT! Hide the golf clubs in a closet and then you have some options- wall mount and add art work on each side or add shelving as in the photo above the TV or add photos and art work around the TV as is or add ladder shelves beside the wall mounted TV- here are some ideas;

Or don't fill it. Just dress it a bit.

Sometimes I get these ideas and I can't find the right picture to illustrate. So sorry about inferior photos. How about painting a vertical accent color on the wall, floor to ceiling, that sits just outside the tv stand? I am not a big fan of do dads around the TV. I think I would find it distracting when I watch a show.
