I think the lyra would look great in your kitchen. I would consider not having yellow walls, though. Look for something like a warm gray, or a pale blue.

I would go with Silestone between the two as it will give you a tiny bit more of a "natural" variation which I find brings more beauty to design.

I would also recommend changing your knobs to something more modern to balance the kitchen. Perhaps something more square.

I also recommend changing the decor on the counters. Simplifying the counter space. Adding a cookbook with a stand allows you to select a page and display it therefore adding color and inspiration for dinner:)

And I also highly recommend painting the walls. Like Lori Dennis said, neutral colors or light greys. 8473 Apollodorus by Cloverdale is a beautiful color as well as its companion 8472 wild mushroom

I intended on painting the walls, getting rid of the canisters etc. and appreciate your suggestions of colors to paint. It adjoins a room with navy blue couches so those colors should work well with that. I also was going to change the knobs....do you have any pictures of knobs you'd recommend? I can't thank you enough for your suggestions. I'm not very good at decorating and find your ideas wonderful.

Looks like Cloverdale paint is sold in Canada. Since I live in the U.S. I'll have to find similar colors unless someone can suggest some. Those shades are very pretty.
