Sara-Ann, your La France is to die for. It's one of my all-time favorite roses but unfortunately I lost mine to canker. I now have a new one sitting in its pot, pushing out a few baby leaves. Once you have it you can't be without it ever again. I also have Heirloom and love your Memorial Day. Would you believe I had two healthy bushes of Grande Dame that never grew or bloomed? It must be me, but frankly I find its thorns daunting and am glad they're gone. I'm planting La France in one of the spots vacated by GD, near the front door where I'll see it often.
