Window placement

Hi again! Hopefully you're not all sick of me yet. We have framed our house already! Things moved very quickly. We have to finalize the windows and I have a few questions.

1) Undecided about the windows flanking the fireplace in the family room. We plan to put the TV above the fireplace. I like the extra light they give, and I think they help the side elevation a bit, but it might be annoying to watch TV with the extra light there, and without them we'd save some money and could put built ins there. Do you think we should keep them or get rid of them?

2) The double sliding doors in the kitchen area had to be changed since they needed to add studs for support between the panels. Now it can only be a single slider in the center (or a pair of french doors) and two windows (or full glass panels) flanking the doors. I think the kitchen will look weird if the table isn't centered on the door so now I am wondering if we should move the doors to the right and just get rid of the windows (so the table could go further to the right, and the family room would become deeper- we could add a counter or knee wall to the left of the doors too). Would you do french or sliders? Where would you put the doors? Windows or no?

3) The window over the kitchen sink- what height should that be at? Right now it looks a bit to high to me. I will have to order a taller window (windows are set at 8' heigh) so I have to see what size increments it comes in (anderson 400) but with 9' ceilings and 8' window height, how low down does a counter window go?

Here are some current pics for anyone following (the interior one was taken last week before they closed the walls but you can see the fireplace window openings on the far wall, and the door/window openings in the kitchen on the right side of the picture)
