I think they are more expensive. But very cool!

I have looked into concrete countertops a good deal, and they can be more expensive than granite depending on your location, countertop layout, and product selection. If you have fancy angles, a lot of cutouts, and/or want specialty edging, then the labor will be more expensive than granite. If you have thought about pouring them yourself there is a product called Z Form System which looks really handy.

Look into quartz! They have ones that look like concrete.

Here is one. You could get a more concrete look in a honed quartz finish.
