A source for adapazari squash seeds?

Hello,
I remember that a Gardenweb denizen named Jim Wright used to distribute Adapazari squash seeds, which he grew in his garden in the Seattle metro area. For a while the Sample Seed Shop had them, but no longer. I am wondering if there are any other ways to get seeds for an open pollinated version of this variety? Apparently it is native to Turkey/ the area around the Black Sea, and looks a lot like a large decoration pumpkin, but with blue-gray rind and good eating qualities.
I am not sure if I have any seeds worth trading (the heirlooms seeds I have are easy to come by), but I would love to get some adapazari seeds and can at least cover postage; does anyone know where I might find them?

Thanks Farmerdill; I noticed that one too. But I am a little hesitant to deal with a store when I can't find much info about them. More importantly, they only give you 5 seeds in a $3 pack? I can't even be sure I'll get a viable plant at that price?

Also, I wonder if it is the same one that Mr. Wright grows, since his seemed to be quite huge, and these are around 15-20 pounds. Anyway, it could be this is the only option out there... maybe they're ok.

I grew the Adapizari this year, 2015, and got one 15Lb 2oz squash. It MIGHT just be the soil, climate, or other factor that makes his so large. OR I got mine in a SWAP so could be - - - - - - -. I live in Seattle too.

Hello Gardenerz,

Do you still have seeds for this variety? Is there anything I can swap you for some? Let me know, I have some other squash and some tomato varieties, but nothing you couldn't get from a seed catalogue probably.
