New seedling

My friend hybridized (via a lab and a professor) a new rose, which is basic pink and single. She kept it, because it's hardy (rugosa tye rose). So I took one of its open-pollinated hips last year and grew some seeds. One grew to be a rose, and just had its first flower. It gained petals over its mother - it's now a semi-double. The seedling is white with pink blush streaks. It looks very much like Pink Iceberg, and I imagine it's hardy. I'm going to overwinter it in the garage though.

I agree. There's too many demands on our attention. People are seldom in the moment anymore.

Carol, you can email the photo to yourself as attachment (from phone) then open and download from your computer.

Yeah, right.....(embarrassed silence). My cell phone is just a phone. I'm too tech. stupid to figure out how to hear my messages on my phone, so I cancelled that simple feature. Mine is just a phone. The picture I took, was my first photo. (Hiding my head in shame LOL)

You can transfer photos to your computer using a usb cable. If you can't find the original that came with the phone, grab one from Target or Best Buy...for around $10. The store rep can help you find one that matches with your phone.

We'll love to see the photos you took. :D

Sigh..:) It seems so hard. It's hard to believe I'm only 53. I sound like I'm over 100. LOL

I'll see if my husband or kids can do it for me - although they're all (even my husband) are deep in midterms. :)

Carol, my phone is just a phone too. I can text and take photos, but that's it. My son downloads the photos on to my husband's computer, because I haven't the foggiest....., you are not alone.

I only mess with the digital camera. It's easier to use and much easier to pull images from. I agree with Melodye, my phone is "just" a phone.

Wow! I'm not the only one!! I thought it was just me and the other 100 year olds.

Personally, if you enjoy taking other photos, a separate digital camera is so much easier and more versatile. Plus, the blamed thing doesn't ring or otherwise demand your attention. All of these "communication devices" are simply "leashes". When I'm out playing in the roses, the only interruptions or other demands on me I welcome are from the dogs. Except when they extrapolate ripening rose hips look JUST like grape tomatoes (which they also help themselves to!).
