There was a well that came with the house and was capped (but not plugged) for the last 6 years. I decided to try and see how much water we could get out of it for irrigation so I stuck a garden hose connected to a small pump about 10 feet down the well (total depth is 14 feet iirc). First it pumped out what looked like dirty water then after about 5 minutes I got pure orange. Iron build up? Is this to be expected? Did I put the hose down too far? Do you think this will clear up over time? I attached a pic that shows the most orange flow (at the end of pumping).
