Cute pups. Do you actually have enough space for an island?? If you are considering a major redo, you might want to hire a designer.

There is no room for an island without taking walls down and doing a major remodel. You need 42" of space on all sides for aisles. You only have 72".

You might have room for an island on wheels. Take down window treatments and add a roman shade. Paint the base and chairs of kitchen table white and a color from roman shades. Add white subway tile ( must neutral, no brainier choice). Take down wallpaper boarder and paint off white. Anything else mean tackling unusual 'wall' adjacent to stove which requires more money, more work, and advice. Not sure what you are considering.

You could wrap counter and cabinets around corner and have leg room for seating and counter at window but you don't have enough room for an island.

HI -- Sorry to say your kitchen now does not have room for an island without a major total re-model . You need 13 1/2 feet wide for an island . Is this what your wanting to do . Can you post a floor plan of that corner of the house and kitchen . Maybe the kitchen can be opened up if that's the direction you want to go. Just remember doing a re-model is going to involve the floors and the ceiling if you want that wall to go etc.

Well I do want to take the wall out where the fridge is to open it right up , I have a nice dining room that I just redid so any suggestions on how to design it would be great
