Floor for slit entry

Does anyone have a floor in their entry way that they love? I have a small split entry house, small entryway, and the steps and floors are all hardwood

Regardless of what type of flooring you have in your entry, you will want to put a small area rug at the entrance to catch dirt when people walk in the house.

Ohhhhh kaaaaay?! I'm confused by the question. Is this an issue? You love your entryway floor...but it is small, is that the question?

No, I need a new floor that looks nice but doesn't show dirt. Any specific tiles or flooring recommendations? Taking out beige tiles that look nice near oak hardwood staircase but show everything

We just redid the floor in our split entry! It's about 22 square feet, so pretty tiny. It was tile over hardwood (buncha dummies must have lived here before us, LOL), so we just cracked off the tile and laid laminate down. We used Harmonics from Costco and I did it myself in an afternoon. We have 3 kids and 3 dogs, and it's holding up great!

We really wanted slate-look porcelain tile, but only had a weekend to do it. We may eventually go that route, but for now the laminate is awesome. Super easy to install.
