From traditional to transitional

Wanting to update traditional cane-back chairs to transitional. Like style of these chairs but does the color of the table compliment the color of these chairs (more red)?

It's fine these days to mix woods that are different in color, and I like your updated choice of chairs. Another step you could take in that direction would be to get a larger rug with a more transitional look. You probably need a 9 x 12' rug.
