first lay down compost in bed

rake bed flat
lay down weed barrier, i used spikes and bricks to hold down the weed barrier
build a dibbler;
bolt 4 2x4 boards together in a square, cut 1.5 inch pvc pipe into 6 inch lengths and screw or bolt the pvc pipe lengths onto one beam of the square; spaced 6-12 inches apart.
push dibbler through the weed barrier with your foot as you walk backwards down the weed barrier length.
sprinkle hand fulls of bone and blood meal on top of the weed barrier.
using a broom walk up and down along side of the weed barrier sweeping the meals into holes as you walk
put garlic cloves into holes facing same direction (you can do this with onions or other bulbs too)
take a small handful of top soil and place on top of each garlic clove
sit back and wait.
this is what i did. i will report back here and let everyone know if my method is a success.
you can also add a layer of mulch such as straw or leaves on top of the garden beds if you want.
