I would watch the opening bud and see if it behaves the same.

Has this rose just been transplanted? Mine did not behave this way. I do have one that does. It's Intrigue. Bud lasts and lasts. But after opening it's finished the next day. Very strange.

It was a potted rose that I planted about a month and a half ago. It's been extremely vigorous and healthy. Love the big leaves on this plant. Yea for this one, the bud also looked nice for a while but when it opened it faded the next day. What gets me is the cool weather we're having, I can't imagine how it'd hold up in the heat of summer.

Mine held up beautifully in the summer heat. Blooming slowed way down but the few blooms I had lasted several days. I have a few buds right now so I'll keep an eye on them to see how they handle the cool, damp weather.

My Perfume Delight blooms do open rather quickly, but they don't wilt, even in the heat. I don't have any blooming right now, but they generally do OK in the cool weather too.

The color looks very true to the picture. It is a very rich color but I think its on the lighter side. I'm glad to hear that they can last several days, I hope the flowers will last longer once its settled in.
