This is a house right? Where is the front door? What is the picture showing in relation to the rest of the house - where is the kitchen, dining room, living room...more info please...What exactly do you mean by you need help with design - you need someone to help place the door, etc...?

To be functional an entry way should include storage for coats and wraps purses etc, a mirror, a table for things that are delivered to land on, or keys or mail, a seat to change shoes or boots, and a light for night safety and a mat or rug of some kind to remove water mud etc. An umbrella stand is nice if you live in a wet area and people are coming in the front door.

I think if you have this list and start with the must have first you should be able to design a beautiful entry. There are litterally thousands of foyer pictures and you can find a lot of inspiration from simple (paint rug console) to complex (wall paper, chandelier, unholstered bench). Hopefully the foyer will be a microcosm of what else is in the house via style and color. Keep the pictures coming!

I don't know the style of home you have this space looks narrow. I had a similar situation in a 90-year old home and I had an artist paint a Tuscan scene of rolling hills with trees - she made it look like the marble floor tile continued into the painting so it really created an incredible vista that you felt you could walk right into. And suddenly, my six-foot wide entry felt 20' wide! She did the ceiling with a blue sky and puffy clouds - You really felt like you were outdoors. We loved it.
