I collected around 400 worms I think African night crawlers or Europeans. Beside the road heaps of eucalyptus leaves. I made up a worm bin a broccoli box. Bedding eucalyptus leaves shedded news paper hand full aged cow manure and coulpe hand full of dry seaweed. A lot of the worms 10 to 15 cm long. Check on there progress and they all jump ship except for afew baby worms. I also have a large pot 36"× 14" × 12" half full of cow manure with heaps of red worms. I gathered about 200 red worms out of manure bin. I also put them into another broccoli box same bedding with little bit more cow manure. They also jump ship except a couple. Now I am trying again this time. I have collected African night crawlers in broccoli box in Landry with light on see if they settle down. I will do the same with the red wrigglers. So 3 boxs cow manure bin no lid. Both broccoli boxs have lids on them. Cow manure bin no lid worms seem to be happy. Keep you posted see what happens. Why are the worms jumping ship?
