Some blooms a few days ago...

We just had a nice 3 days worth of very-much-needed rain! Even got some snow in the upper subdivisions of the town higher in elevation than us. I hope this is a sign of things to come. We need the water sooooo badly!! Sun's out this morning, but I don't think there will be anything worth taking pictures of. We had some heavy downpours off and on, so the blooming roses I'm sure were pummeled pretty good.

SANTANA - this bouquet is 4 days old. In person it's a deeper orange-red and has very smoky edges that barely show up here.

I'm a sucker for odd colours - just love Irish Creme! Can't get it here but I have Julia's Rose which is similar. Lovely roses Beth!

Some yummers here. Really like Sally Kane. Roedean, Michelangelo and Soutine all look wonderful. And Spellcaster, a parent of Angel Face, looks especially nice against the aged grey wood fence.

We didn't pick up much rain but better than sun further drying out the soil. It lowered the pollen count - yipee.

Girrrrrrrl! That Esperance and Irish Creme are to die for. Love them. Does Irish Creme always bloom that color? Love it. Your roses look great!! Judy

Some more I can't live without.... but will have to :( As usual, Irish Creme and Iris Webb wowed me, but now have to add Aperitif, Roedean and Spellcaster to the 'I Wish' list. By the way, hope you are over the ' flu.

Love them all! The standouts IMO are Apertif, Helen Keller, Roedean, Sally Kane, Samaritan, Spellcaster and Sunstruck.

I love all of your pics! I have a question though if you don't mind. It seems that my "new" favorite color is the pinks with green. Those seem to look so romantic and like the belong in a different era..... I love your ESPERANCE, but on helpmefind i could not determine if it has any scent or how tall she gets... could you share a little about her.
