It's adequate if all you are really after is a queen bed (or smaller) & two night stands. There won't be room for a dresser or any other furniture. It will probably seem inadequate compared to the rest of the bedroom components (walk-in closet and large master bath) since a bedroom that size is rarely considered a master bedroom size.

At least you didn't say Its adequate for bed and one night stand. The closet can hold a dresser at the end. Thanks for your input.

Even if it's not a requirement for you now, I'd try to make a master bedroom large enough to accomodate a standard king size bed with small dressers for nightstands, so approximately 12-13' x 10-11' minimum.

Yes. Too small for a bedroom with furnishings for two people.

It's small but sufficient. I guess I'd ask why you want it that size when it's atypically small for a master. If you're trying to have a small, efficient home. then it makes sense. If you have a 3500 sf home, it may seem quirky.

Our first house's master bedroom was 14x11, and 2' was used for a large dresser. We had a queen-sized bed and two large night tables. It was okay ... but definitely tight ... and subtracting out the dresser, you'll have roughly 2' less.

On the positive side, glass doors to the patio will make the room seem larger.

If you can afford to up the square footage, do it. You won't be sorry. If this really and truly is all that's possible -- it will work, even if it's not ideal.

Any MBR today would be expected to be large enough for a king size bed and side tables. Two people should be able to pass one another at the foot of the bed without turning their shoulders. (Unless you are interested in tango at all hours of the day and night. LOL)

It is good to have a 3' walkway around the bed to have enough room for walkers or wheelchairs.
