The opening to our fireplace, just the opening, is 5 feet tall and 6 feet wide. It's about a foot taller and wider past that for the bricks. And then another 8-10" on top of that for the mantle. The inside is so big that it just looks.... weird. Picture a large fireplace at a lodge. The previous owners used just the left side of the fireplace for the fires, and kept spare wood on the right (they put a flimsy brick wall between the sides).
Any ideas on what we can do for this?
