Thanks so much for reaching out! The headboard does not attach to the bed frame with any hardware. Most of our customers just push bed rails up to the headboard and lock the rails. The mattress holds the headboard in place. You may also drill out holes on the legs of the headboard and secure the rails to the headboard with screws as well for additional security.
