We are building a home and I need to decide the route I want to take in the office: furniture or built ins for desk space. We have two kids that will probably be increasingly using it over the next few years, as the oldest is currently in 2nd grade. I am leaning towards the built ins, as it is not a very large office (approx. 9.5' x 10.5' - my husband kept shrinking it) and it seems to be the more efficient use of space, especially when considering two people using the space.

Does anyone have any input regarding the design of the built in? I attached a picture of a potential layout that has two knee spaces, but in thinking about it, one large knee space might work better for helping kids with their homework. Also what would you do above the desk space? I would like a tv in the room to double as a larger monitor or second monitor for our laptops.
