Actually your hardware is right on track with what is 'in' now. Perhaps you could switch out the hardware only on the island...a black handle but similar style?

I actually like what you have and think that it complements your cabinets and granite. Are you simply looking for a change?

I was thinking I should switch to oil rubbed bronze cup pulls to match the iron light over the island. I've seen a lot of the cup pull style in magazines and the darker bronze colors against white. I also see the silver on the white as well but I just thought that the style of my hardware was outdated

Cup pulls will not work with the current placement of the hardware. You would need to patch and paint the old holes, and they would still be visible unless you did several coats and repainted everything.

I think your hardware looks great. Why not darken island cabinets if you want a change?
