Columns in kitchen dining area

It looks like the columns are 10X10 is this correct? I tried to be self-sufficient by viewing the floor plan available on your web page but the numbers were hard to decipher. I am planning to use columns in my kitchen and determining the correct size is not easy. Yours look well scaled for the room.

Thanks Reneethe1st. Thanks for trying to be independent and sourcing the information yourself. The plans do have 10" x 10" posts. On site, we often make changes to suit the client and designers vision. I don't have access to the home anymore so don't know the final measurements. Thanks for the compliment on the scaling of the posts to the room. I could put you in touch with the contractor who did the finishing work. He may remember the width. Would that be helpful to you?

You are so incredibly responsive! No need to reach out to contractor, I think they look to be 10x10 and I just wanted to see what you thought. It can be tricky putting beams in the middle of the floor like that and I would like to keep mine to 10 inches rather than 12. Thanks Again!

Hello - this is my FAVORITE kitchen on all of Houzz. Do you know where I can find the light fixtures over the kitchen island? Thanks so much.
