Without the constraint of a pot impeding expansion, Here's what this plant has done. To the left, what was the oldest rosette was connected before being dug up. What's left is last years' rosette to the left, this years' to the right, and continuing on to the right, next years' that was still underground until being dug up yesterday.

They don't always go in a straight line line this, but naturally using a
few inches to the side in some direction is why I'm a firm believer
that no Sans would ever want to be without a little elbow room in a pot,
and that for them to grow as fast as possible, the new
rhizomes/rosettes need space to be able to form and find the surface.
