Here is a bath in Dorest gold using the reds , I love that color and is really quite neutral and would look great with your colors. Gold is making a big come back go for it. Pics will get you more answers

That is a pretty strong gold. I found a wonderful subdued gold color at Home Depot--Behr's Desert Camel. It is a soft gold, leading it to be more of a neutral than the Dorset Gold pictured.

It is only paint and easy to redo (in most cases). Dorset Gold is very bold, which depending on your room and the direction it daces can be a plus. You might want to consider something a bit softer like fresh butter, or less bold like oatstraw, which are also a BM paints.

I used Shellborn Buff by Benjamin Moore in my kitchen once. It is a beautiful gold. Not too strong and harsh. It doesn't really look gold on the paint chip but, you know how color intensifies when you have 4 walls reflecting off each other. I also decorated using the same colors as you and it was lovely! I really enjoyed it, then I moved. : ( You've reminded me of the color....I should use it again!

We painted our living and dining room Dorset Gold, not harsh at all. We've had the color for about 3 years, and not tired of it at all. Coordinates with with olive, red and brown tones. Yes, I would consider this a "neutral" gold. Sample sizes are available, good idea to try the color on all of the walls.
