Unbelieveable Lamarque bare root!

Got this bare-root budded Lamarque from Trevor White and potted it up on November the 5th. Today I noticed a bud for Pete's sake formed on one 3 inch shoot and a strong basal also about 3 inch long shooting out! What the heck, I have never ever seen something like that! Of course the unseasonally warm weather has helped but still... Should I expect a monster rose? I don't think this rose will be able to remain in this 5gal pot until its planned planting in May.. I will probably have to finalize the placement decision, dig the hole and have it planted by March at the latest.

I'm planning to try sending it up this thorny acacia tree (Vachellia farnesiana aka Acacia farnesiana)

I have no experience with Lamarque on root stock, but I do have one own root (I know it is because I rooted the cutting and planted it). Mine is about 5 years old, and has gone up a tree tot a total height of about 15-20 feet, and has further ambitions. Your tree looks perfect!

Yes, I knew that rose gets big, I just didn't expect it would be speeding to it.. I will plant it deep so it may be able to grow its own roots.

How exactly am I going to send the rose up the 12 feet of trunk up to the point where it branches out remains to be solved.. Any technique suggestions welcome.
