We have a 70's reno (we are hoping to sell within 18 months) and installed all white kitchen, with stainless steel appliances. We have mixed wood floors, open plan to the living room.

Going for an expensive contemporary look and feel for the home, our bathroom is in deep slate grey with all 600x600 white porcelain tiles, geometric grey tiles in shower stall.

Dilemma with backsplash color and whether to go tile or glass. We are leaning toward glass after considering a lot of metallics and textured tiles. We love them, but we have to go with something that will help sell the house not what we'd like to live in so we can attract more interest in a sale.

Our thoughts were either a light grey glass backsplash and a textured deep grey tile for the back of the island? I hope my pics attached correctly. I'd love to see the grey tile on the backsplash, however, as it's not shiny we don't think it will give that 'wow' factor.
