Well. this planted two months ago, this photo is the day I received the plant.
Now this leafless, will wait as you say to reactivate growth to prune.
Do you cut only tips or you'd make a more radical pruning ?.

Can I ask, is the caudex/stem soft at all? It seems a bit wrinkled and deflated n the first pic 2months ago and also the one taken recently.

Yes, this wrinkled and a little soft.
The first photo is from the ground when I arrived, I guess I was a little dehydrated and now has entered into rest period and has not had time to recover, but the branches are now a bit stronger at the moment is resisting.

This sounds a little concerning to me. Has it been watered since it's was planted up? Sorry for all the questions, just trying to figure out if the roots are totally dried out, if that's the case, it will be difficult for them to take up any water and fill the caudex up again. We need someone else to come in with some suggestions for you.

I watered every 10 days or so, just a little too much for the roots do not dry out.
I guess now when in time of rest absorbs little water.

What climate are you growing this tree in?

The first photo of the tree upon receiving does show signs of dehydration. The photo with it potted now shows what was white at the bottom looking somewhat brown/beige in appearance and still dehydrated.

I would be tempted to lift out of pot and check it.

Well spotted Rick, I missed that slightly browning area in that second pic...and on looking closer at the first pic, there is a hint of it there already. I think something is definitely not right with this plant, the roots are where I would look......as we have both said. Maybe too dried out to absorb any of the water it's been given...??

I would be tempted to contact the supplier joguag and see what they say. Wher did you purchase it from?
