The counter and backsplash is where I need help. Originally I liked the granite seen in the picture but didn't like the seems where the slabs are connected and now reconsidering this granite as it may be too much white. I don't mind paying extra for the quartz. My issue with all the quartz I've seen is how the pattern has no depth, it looks like a thin veneer glued on. The granite and marble has such beautiful depth to it. Marble may stain from all the Indian cooking.

I don't have engineered in the kitchen yet but that is the plan with the leftover wood from the house reno. There is only a 10% restocking fee so I could go with tile if I had to. Attached is a picture of the wood.


Cabinets are a white shaker. That and the layout can not be changed now. Help!
