Yes, hang your art work horizontally centered over your terrific DIY heaboard. It looks kind of shoved in over in the corner. Take another photo after you try that so we can see if that works.

Since you're a great DIY-er, install a wide curtain or shower rod over your open closet so you can hang some long white curtains. Bedrooms should be as uncluttered as possible. Also long, white curtains would brighten a room that seems to have limited lighting. If you go plain white, Target and JC Penny are affordable places to get curtains.

UPDATE: Moved the artwork (painted by me) over the headboard, a floorlamp in the corner, and a vase I had packed away. much better :)
