Pagan, That 'Black Widow' bloom is stunning. Such a rich color. Reminds me of Red/Burgundy plush velvet.

The joined trees will be an interesting project. You would think that they should join fine. Looking forward to the finish.

Very nice to see your innovative grafting experiment. Hope the "new" plant fuses well.

Although I'm not a fan of these double/triple Adenium blossoms, the rich, saturated color blends of "Black Widow's" flowers, are quite beautiful. (The breeders got the color right, at least).

Thanks, everyone! That Black Widow did turn out to look very nice. It's the first time I have had it bloom.

I'm eyeing two more seedlings I can splice together since they appear unremarkable otherwise. I have a collect-and-select strategy for these plants and ultimately, I want to have half the number of pots I currently have; ideally less than half. This sounds weird, considering I just got four new plants this year but I picked those for their blooms and I wasn't really expecting them to look like the type of plant I'd like to keep (and they don't). So I'll harvest them for scions and graft them onto plants I do plan to keep.

Out of the three I got from Rinoa, for example, I'm probably only going to keep the one on the right. Maybe.

After that, ya'll can have the stock plants. I'm still trying to figure out how to prune this mother below. It has soooo many blooming branches, there is no way I'm going to put grafts on every single one of them.
