Most of it I like. But no matter how hard they try, that is not an eat-in kitchen. The only other awful gaffe is the too tall candlestick smack dab in the middle of a too small round table in pic #2. The living room actually seems pretty calm.

I don't love the Chinese red library although the individual pieces are fabulous! But it does beg the question.... What else is one supposed to do with a life's accumulation of wonderful art and books and objet d'art?

J'adore! But maybe the tiniest bit too much with everything else? Although what else, realistically, goes with that color except more of it and black? And gold.

I have red Foo dogs who would be very much at home in that room. They are on red and gold metal corbels hung on a chinoiserie wallpaper in a bathroom. So I will stop criticizing that library now for being too much, lol.

Mmm, so beautiful. I see quite a few chairs I'm lusting over.

I really like how it has such fine furnishings, yet it's still warm and inviting. I wouldn't feel anxiety about touching anything.

Man, that is one gorgeous home. Is there a small round nightstand to the right, as you're facing it, of the bed? I wonder about the chest behind it. I know, I know, I've mentioned ease of access before, but fiddling with things is a pet peeve of mine.

I think it's a real beauty. I also think you share the most interesting photos!

Everything is pulled so well together, but it should be, considering the owners. So very New York

Very nice. Love the cream living room, especially the chandelier and sconces. They have beautiful artwork and gorgeous antique pieces. The red library is pretty and cozy, but I think it would make me feel feverish :-)

Chijim, I really appreciate your posts. I always enjoy them.

I don't care for this one as much. While all the rooms are full of fantastic furniture and beautiful art, they so look so purposefully designed to me. Other than the bedroom, not a single room looks like anyone lives there. Is there a single piece of personality other than "I have exquisite taste"?

But I would die for some of those pieces...

Some lovely pieces I'm lusting over (those three chairs around the table!) and the wall of storage in the kitchen, and a wee nook for morning coffee or a late-night dish of ice cream.

But I think there's one too many layers. This is a decorator's store. Remove the topmost layer (excess items on tables, one pillow from sofa, pictures from in front of books) and it will be quite livable. Oh, and in the foyer? Tuck the topiaries back half an inch on the little shelves, they are making me nervous.

The photographs are lovely, but how could an ordinary rental apartment be created in this fashion or something similar? Wall colors and flooring cannot be changed for one thing. We have orientals scattered over the carpeting, but are constantly straightening them as they walk. The more hangings added, the more wall repair in the future. How does one maneuver through all those pieces of furniture? Overall size of rooms must be more than average. Not complaining. Just wondering amid frustrations.

Very pretty. (But I still have the urge to remove a few things in each room.)
