One Little Pumpkin Seed

Howdy. What can I expect from just one seed? Will it even produce any pumpkins from just one? If I take care of it that is. And when should I plant one? I have one with five leaves on it in my front yard. Must have fallen out of trash bag during Halloween. Should I dig her up and put her inside during cold months?
