Tiny Living Room Design Help

Hi guys! I need your help. I need our living room to look better. Budget is below $1000. I am from the Philippines so paints, wallpaper or any furniture should cost less. Our wall is too plain and I'm planning to add a split-type aircon. Would it work?

A Large picture or collage of pics above sofa. Different colored pillows, three different works well, make it pillows you really like or better get material to cover existing ones to get what you like. No more brown colors unless it was just a touch. Blues, greens, many colors look good with brown since brown is so neutral.

I agree with carolyngarland, you have too many pillows with too much pattern for such a small room. Solid color pillows in colors like orange, yellow, bright green, or some other bright color might brighten things up. I also agree that one large piece of art above the couch would look nice, but several art works from your homeland might look interesting there too. Don't hang them too high. When you get the air conditioner, you probably won't need that fan, which is cluttering up the room. Some objects that mean something to you and your family on the coffee table, or on an end table (after the Christmas tree comes down) will add personality to the room. You should also get a table lamp or floor lamp for next to the couch. None of these things have to be expensive, so I think you can add them within your budget. Good luck with your decorating project!

Still haven't seen other drapes or curtaines. Aircon is airconditioner-split type.

We'll be putting down our christmas tree in a few days. Should I put a coffee table there instead? Brown color? Is it good to add cornese too?

Can you as well recommend fixtures or lights that could go and look well in our tiny living/ dining room?

When tree is gone move couch down a bit to make room for a table and lamp. If you can paint the whole space a light cream color. It will bright up the space. Once again picture with soft clean colors and new light pillows. Keep accessories few and simple. Anything large is overpowering for the space. Flowers on the dinning table are too tall, cut them down and put in a shorter container. I'll look at pictures again.

Yes , ones you have removed the Christmas tree move the sofa , add more of the green from the pillows to the room , remove plastic table cloths too . get a few pictures for the walls .

Ok , walls seem to already cream, pillows a big improvement. Maybe a light colored throw on the couch to break up the brown. Brown drapes adding to the too much brown, replace all with cream curtains, light weight, no pattern or texture. Remove curtains in the kitchen, they block the light. If privacy is an issue install roller match stick shades in a light color.(Home Depot). Can any of the pieces be painted, to relieve the brown?
Table lamp, a lighter color and Light shade color. Maybe even a simple floor lamp at the other end of the couch. Much softer lighting than the ceiling fixture which looks like it should be in the dinning area. The space is really too small for a chandelier. Could it be moved to over the dinning table and then capped off.
