Replace that wooden deck!

This home had a "typical" builder grade wooden deck. Our design team worked with the client to create an expanded entertainment space for their family and friends to enjoy.

We were excited to use Prescott, a brand new Techo Bloc wall product.

The patio is natural cleft, full-color PA bluestone. Steps are solid, thermal cut PA bluestone.

The built in grill and bar utilizes the sam wall materials with a granite counter top.

Is this located in a frost-free climate? Will the granite handle freezing without lots of winterization?

@ arvilla_trag: We are located in SE PA and frost footers need to be 36" depth. This patio has a base of 12" beneath the bar installed and compacted as per ICPI details. We have found that the proper pitch, base preparation along with Techni-Seal HP joint stabilizing sand basically eliminates any water migration into the base and therefore basically eliminates frost heaving. As far as the granite surface itself we always use an upgraded granite with a sealer that will stand up to UV degradation.
