Whispering Lace is finished

This is Whispering Lace by Amy Ellis from her book Modern Neutrals. The blocks finish at 16" square, so I made it only 4x5 blocks (64"x80") instead of 6x6 (96" square) because I wanted a lap quilt. That made it harder to get good placement of the various fabrics, because there are actually two different blocks from each of ten fabrics. I wish I had arranged them a little differently, but I really struggled with the placement and it's not like the quilt will be hung on a wall. The blocks that appear grey in the photo are actually quite a steely blue. I had this one professionally quilted. I hope our friends in France like it. I will send it off next week.

Love it! I've admired this pattern and yours looks great.

It reminds me of the garden fence or garden gate quilt i finished last year, ( I can't remember the block name) but anyway, this block has an extra border around the center. I appreciate your comments on putting this together, but you did a lovely job!

You did a wonderful job. I like the color selections. I don't know how this block goes together, but it looks like it took a lot of time.
