I'Itoi Onions

Yesterday I got handed a bunch of I'itoi onions for eating as greens & shallots but I already have a big stockpile for months (Arizona problems). Can I just stick these in my garden and they'll continue to grow (and presumably multiply like rabbits)? I'd assume yes but thought I would ask those who know.

Yes, yo can go ahead and plant them. You are zone 10a so you could actually get a bit of growth before the weather warms up.

Ok, cool. Do I trim the roots and greens or do I just pop the in as-is?

You can trim the greens down to about 2 inches or so, and no real need to trim the roots. that just based on my own experience thus far. I'itoi are pretty tough.

Awesome, I'll do that. Looks like if anyone needs I'itoi for swap, I'm probably good for it
