Adjusting temperature on Bosch Oven

Does anyone know if you can adjust the oven temperature on a Bosch when it's already turned on without having to cancel the setting and the restarting?

I just installed the Benchmark Double Wall Oven and can't seem to figure out how I can adjust the temperature up or down while it's already at a preset temperature. I also don't see it in the manual either. Thanks.

Press the bake again or convection bake or whatever function you're using and then press the plus or minus button to change the temp.

I don't have a + or - button, just numeric digits. I've tried pressing the function again and then adjusting the temperature but keep getting one of those error beeps.

We have the 500 series Bosch convection with the knobs, and we're able to adjust the temperature knob (to the right) in order to increase/decrease temp while cooking -- just like an old-fashioned oven.

Sorry if this doesn't help, esp if all your controls are touchpad -- does your owner's manual not address this at all?

Thanks for your reply. Unfortunately, the only mention I see in the manual regarding adjusting the temperature is when you're in EcoChef mode. I tried e-mailing Bosch this morning; we'll see if I can get a response from them.

bear - I don't know how responsive they are to email as your message could end up in a black hole. While I've had spotty results and less-than-helpful conversations with reps at their toll-free line, at least someone picks up after a few minutes. You might want to roll the dice and place a call: maybe you'll get lucky and get quick resolution! Have your model # handy. Good luck.

Have you tried pressing on the screen where it displays the current temperature, then entering the new temperature on the keypad? I don't have a Bosch, but that's how I increase the temperature on my Jenn-Air.

I have a HGA120E50Z bosch 600m free standing gas cooker. The oven has temperature control range is from 170 to 270. My challenge is that when I select the recommended temperature when baking it will not be done within the allocated time. For instance, scones, the normal time 15/20 minutes at 220°C. But at that temperature it takes almost an hour to bake. So I have to do trial and error and take note of the temperature at which I would have success in baking socnes or muffins. This is not how it should be.

@Gloriah Mandeya, get a separate oven thermometer to check the accuracy of the oven control. Are you preheating the oven and for how long?

I am having the same problem. No way that I can adjust the temp once I have it set without canceling the oven altogether.

I have the same double oven . No plus or minus and no dials.

Is turning the oven off then back on to the new desired temperature objectionable? It doesn’t seem a difficult operation.

I had the same problem as the person who posted this thread. I have the Benchmark double ovens, Thank you to the person who gave me the answer Who would have tought that pressing the oven on button would trigger the temp to blink and allow an adjustents. The manual for this oven is horrible. I have cutomer service on speed dial. And sometimes they have no answer either! Anyway thank you for solving my problem too
