faux fireplace

I'm planning on building a faux fireplace and want cabinets on each side and tv mounted over fireplace. I thought I had it all planned out but then realized with my dimensions my tv would go from edge to edge of the fireplace. This might be ok but I wanted to do a planked wall behind the tv but not above the cabinets. This would leave me with only about 2-3 inches of the planked area exposed on either side of the tv. I would have plenty of planked area above the tv as my ceiling is vaulted. I guess my question is would this look ok visually? My wall is 115 inches. I wanted to use 30 inch cabinets on either side. This would leave 55 inches for the width of the fireplace and my tv measures 50 inches from side to side. Would it be better to use 24 inch cabinets and make the fireplace area wider? Would the smaller cabinets look out of place with the wider fireplace? Help please!!.
