that kind of defeats the purpose....they function as a form of waste removal. If you don't generate enough waste I suggest you ask around town. Grocery stores, coffee shops, breweries and resturants all throw out lots of waste that can be vermicomposted.

I've read comfrey is a good option if you want to grow it yourself. Otherwise I'd check with local restaurants, juicing stores, etc for their waste as viper114 recommends.
