This Kalanchoe fedtschenkoi has huge ones.

My Monstera deliciosa truly is a monster, HaHa. I repotted this juvenile plant a little over a year ago and it has since filled up every cubic inch of the soil in its pot with roots. I had even used a pot that was two sizes larger than its original, because there were so many. I didn't realize just how many roots have grown since then because I had a layer of white rocks covering the surface. I haven't tried removing it from its pot yet, but I suspect that it will come out in one pot-shaped block, lmao.

These monsters don't joke around...

Monsteras are about the only plant I recommend s/w pots for. It looks amazing..I wish mine would show off its legs like that!

Unfortunately I'll have to find some aerial roots on my plants. I tend to knock them off when I see them on most plants, with a few exceptions. I try to keep them to a minimum because I'm old school.

This monster soaks up water like a sponge. For most of last year, my area got more than plenty of rain. At least until the second half of summer. Then you factor in the humidity, and this plant grew like a weed. Even now that I have it inside in lower humidity, its leaves still drip water all of the time. If I accidentally bump into it, those drops always fall on me, lol.

When spring rolls around, I plan on repotting it, thinning out the congested roots in the pot and burying the ends of the aerial roots in the soil. So they can establish themselves and perhaps lend some support for the rest of the plant as it grows taller. Leaving them hanging over the edge of the pot, I've ended up snapping a couple of them as well. I also want to straighten it out, because it's leaning to one side. And I want to give it a metal stake and better ties, for stronger support.
