So, here they are. On the left is the 'flamingo' that seems to have been sprayed pink. It has some kind of residue on it? Also, it arrived from Thailand bare-root in a bubble envelope. The other, on the right, came in a 4" pot....and already had 3 little 'claws', yet no leaves. It's a 'rainbow' plumeria. It is winter, so they are not getting the amount of sun, so I supplemented with a common fluorescent setup right above. As you can see, my bird of paradise and others are doing alright.

So, my question is... how long does it take to root, and should the tip of this flamingo be turning black-ish? It's not squishy or anything....it seems alright, except for no claws yet and the coloration.

Did it arrive mostly dead? I had it potted with well draining soil for about 2 weeks now.
